[635] Translational Biomarker Research Group

The research group is structured around two axes in neurobiology a) fundamental research and b) translational research. It integrates the skills of researchers in biology, biochemistry and chemistry, bioinformaticians and clinicians. The fundamental research axis targets the discovery of new mechanisms in the neurotoxicity of certain xenobiotics in in vitro models of the blood-brain barrier. The translational research axis aims to identify, develop and implement diagnostic and prognostic markers for brain diseases such as stroke and traumatic brain injury.
