Originally from London, I completed my BSc at the university of Leeds in biochemistry and developed a passion for virology during my Master’s thesis which focused on the analysis of Hazara virus non-translated regions. I then moved to Liverpool to undertake a PhD in virology, looking at the antiviral potential of seaweed derived compounds. Following this, I completed a short Postdoc at the University of Liverpool evaluating novel vaccine candidates in preclinical models before recently moving to Geneva to start a postdoc at the centre for emerging viral diseases focusing on mucosal immunology and respiratory viruses.
