[BC]2 Conference Basel

The scientific committee has invited several international experts to present their work in the area of Single-cell Data Analysis (Peter Kharchenko), Evolutionary Medicine (Roy Kishony), Clinical Population Genomics (Danielle Posthuma), Systems Biology of Disease (Thomas Kepler) and Multi-level Data Integration (Yves Moreau). A special highlight will be the [BC]2 keynote lecture given by Susan Holmes. (Programme details)

[BC]2 is recognized for its interactive programme including hands-on tutorials and workshops or the presentation of selected talks and posters to give early careers and established researchers a platform to meet, discuss and interact. Registration for the conference is here.

Abstracts can be submitted in one of the following categories: Oral presentation, poster + poster flash talk or poster only.   • EMBO Young investigator workshop on evolutionary and computational Biology.
    Organised by SIB Group Leader Christophe Dessimoz, this workshop addresses early career researchers being interest or on their way toward independence. Current and past EMBO Young Investigators & Installation Grantees will give short presentations and discuss the EMBO Young Investigator Programme with participants. The EMBO Young investigator workshops are usually at high demand and this is the first one of its kind focussing on Evolutionary and Computational Biology!

  • The “Annotation and curation of computational models in biology” workshop and mini-symposium
    This workshop and mini-symposium aims to review and connect different ongoing projects to bring together people from different communities involved in modelling and annotation of molecular biological entities, interactions, pathways and models. Several experts on data annotation, model curation, and community standard development are invited and a call for abstract submissions has been issued.
