Despite increasing numbers of donors, there is still a shortage of organs available for transplantation into patients. This talk presents several potential solutions to this problem, including stopping families overruling donation, switching to a presumed consent system, growing human organs in pigs, organ donation after assisted dying, and others. Each of these solutions raises interesting ethical issues, which will also be explored during the talk.
