He previously did 4 years of post-doctoral research in Israel at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot and at the Technion and the Rambam hospital in Haifa. His research involved molecular (omics) analysis on the circadian clock in liver and muscle, non-coding RNA in diabetes, and more recently physiological time series analysis on patients (oximetry, electrocardiogram, and actigraphy). His most recent experience in-between the hospital (Rambam) and the Technion involved data collection of COVID-19 patients (monitors data) and investigation of electronic medical records from patients with Influenza and COVID-19.

Dr. Jonathan Sobel obtained his Ph.D. at EPFL in 2016 where he worked for the computational systems biology lab. In addition, Jonathan did his M.Sc. at the university of Geneva in proteomics and bioinformatics.
