Marta Martins is graduated in clinical and cognitive psychology at the University of Geneva in 2019. She joined Professor Frisoni's group in 2020 as a research assistant and takes part in the local coordination of the COSCODE -SNAP-GMAD projects.

These projects aim at deepening the knowledge on the link between brain proteins: amyloid and tau and the gut microbiota (GMAD). Molecular imaging aims to observe the onset and progression of amyloid and tau protein deposition and the role in neurodegeneration (SNAP). Finally, COSCODE aims to predict the evolution of a pathology such as Alzheimer's disease by comparing the clinical characteristics of patients with subjective cognitive decline, healthy volunteers and patients with cognitive impairment.

In parallel, she is starting a specialisation in clinical neuropsychology at the Centre Leenaards de la mémoire, CHUV.
