[701] Cerebral mechanisms of human behaviour and cognition

Our laboratory is interested in studying the cerebral bases of cognition, perception, emotion, and consciousness. Our goal is to understand the neural correlates of normal cognitive processes in healthy people, as well as neuropsychological disorders after brain lesions in patients.

Our approach combines both functional neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG) and behavioral testing in healthy subjects and brain-damaged patients.

The NIC is a new, interdisciplinary platform for cognitive neurosciences, affiliated with the Departments of Neurology and Neurosciences (University Hospital & Medical Center) as well as the School of Psychology (University of Geneva).
