PhD defence of Mrs Amanda Guerreiro
This last March 24th, Mrs Amanda Guerreiro successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled What is the role of WDR62 in mitosis ? Her thesis was conducted under the direction of Prof. Patrick Meraldi from the Department of Cell physiology and metabolism.
Cell division plays an important role in all living organisms and its dysregulation can lead to severe diseases. During her PhD thesis, Amanda Guerreiro has provided new insights into the function of WDR62, a cell-cycle dependent protein.
Amanda Guerreiro will now complete her ongoing project in the laboratory of Prof. Patrick Meraldi by the end of the year, before trying to move into clinical research or industry.
