A grant from the Geneva Cancer League

Prof. Roberto Coppari received the support of the Geneva Cancer League for his project entitled “A new target for improving lung cancer therapy”.

This research prize will allow his team to focus on identifying and exploiting for therapeutic purposes a new molecular target that is specifically expressed by lung cancer cells in humans: the enzyme FKBP10. Prof. Roberto Coppari will investigate the biology of this new molecular target with the help of Raquel Firnkes and Giorgio Ramadori.

They hope to find a treatment for a disease that is lacking effective therapy and for which there is a clear medical need.
