A rich lecture from Prof. Peinelt
On June 8th, Prof. Christine PEINELT from the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, University of Bern (Switzerland) invited by Prof. Maud FRIEDEN and Prof. Nicolas DEMAUREX gave a virtual conference. Her talk entitled “Ion channels in cancer: Yes, I CAN”.
During her rich conference, she presented her recent findings on the role of a particular ion channel, TRMP4, in the development of colorectal and prostate cancer.
Her research group explores calcium fluxes, with a particular emphasis on the structure/function relationship and dysregulation of SOCE signals in the pathophysiology of cancer and immune disease. For more details, see her website.
