My laboratory is working on renal physiology and pathophysiology. We are specialized in the study of ion and water transport by kidney tubule epithelial cells under physiological and pathological conditions. We are also interested by the role of ion and water intake and their consequences on kidney tubular cell function in the pathogenesis and progression of chronic kidney disease.

We are currently developing research programs on:

• Coupling between paracellular and transcellular ion transport
• Control of paracellular transport in health and disease
• Effect of altered dietary ion intake on chronic kidney disease progression
