THE CHUV AND THE HUG EXHIBIT ARTISTS WITH AUTISM

As part of World Autism Awareness Day, which will take place on April 2, the CHUV and the HUG are each organizing an exhibition on each of their site with artists with autism. Two public lectures complete this program.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that mainly affects communication and social relationships. It is estimated that one in 100 children has autism. A good understanding of the person with autism, appropriate support, as well as tolerance towards him or her and his or her family are key to success in making their lives better.

Contacted by the Comité d'Autisme Romandie regarding April 2, the cultural activities managers of the two hospitals were offered a wide choice of artworks by artists with autism.

From March 29 to April 26, at the CHUV and from March 30 to April 26, at the HUG, the two exhibitions will share the works of about twenty artists. Photographs, paintings, engravings, drawings, sculptures and miniatures will be on display.
