Camilla Bellone named “Cavaliere” of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic
Camilla Bellone, Full Professor in the Department of Basic Neurosciences and Vice-Dean for Basic Research and Technologies at the UNIGE Faculty of Medicine, has been awarded the title of Cavaliere of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Italy's highest civilian honour. A neuroscientist, Camilla Bellone specialises in social behaviours in autism spectrum disorders.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults is still the subject of many misconceptions, which contribute to stigma and often inadequate care for those affected. Long considered a disorder exclusive to children, it is now recognized as a persistent neurodevelopmental condition, whose symptoms—impulsivity, difficulties with emotional regulation, and attention deficits—evolve and change throughout life.
