Academic fellows of the Geneva Centre for Philanthropy

An Academic fellow is a person from the professional world who participates in research or teaching under the responsibility of an ordinary or associated professor, and who brings to the Centre and the University professional expertise or contributes to its influence.

Seven Academic fellows have been appointed by the UNIGE Rectorate:

Jeanne-Rose Arn studied law and philosophy at the University of Geneva and at Harvard Law School. Laureate of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, she is currently preparing a doctorate in law and philosophy at the University of Cambridge.

Delphine Bottge contributes to the GCP's research and teaching activities on the theme of shareholder foundations. She is a lawyer specialized in the law and governance of foundations, associations and hybrid models and sits on the boards of various foundations.

Philipp Fischer contributes to the GCP's research and teaching activities on the theme of innovative ways of financing philanthropic and pro-social activities, in particular "Social Impact Bonds". He is also interested in this subject in the context of his work as a legal advisor.

Aline Kratz-Ulmer contributes to the GCP's research and teaching activities on the theme "Diversity in the governance of the non-profit sector". Lawyer in Zurich, she is an expert in providing legal advice on the law of classic foundations and occupational benefit foundations.

Vincent Pfammatter contributes to the GCP's research and teaching activities on the theme "Social entrepreneurship and hybrid entities". He is a lawyer in Geneva specialised in providing legal advice to non-profit organisations (foundations, associations). He is also a member of the board of proFonds, the Swiss umbrella organisation for foundations and associations.

Loïc Pfister contributes to the GCP's research and teaching activities on the theme of "Foundation Law". Lawyer holding a PhD in Laws, his practice focuses on foundation law. He is the author of a reference book on this subject.

Livia Ventura contributes to the GCP's research and teaching activities on the theme "Social entrepreneurship and hybrid entities". She contributed in particular to the drafting of the Italian law on the subject. She is currently Assistant Professor of Comparative Private Law at LUISS Guido Carly and member of the Scientific Committee of the Association of Non-Profit Enterprises in Italy (Assobenefit).
