In collaboration with several partners, the GCP offers professionals access to new skills through teaching rooted in research and current practices.


Since 2021, the University of Geneva has been offering a certifying degree in Philanthropy designed for philanthropy professionals or anyone wishing to steer their career in this sector.

This year, the University of Geneva is offering an interdisciplinary programme that is unique in Europe, the:

NEW - Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Philanthropy
This programme is composed of 3 Certificates in Advanced Studies (CAS):

Launched by the GSEM and GFRI, in partnership with the GCP and Genevensis.

The NEW  Certificate in Advanced Studies (CAS) Frontiers in Philanthropy includes 5 modules with online and in-class courses allowing students to study while in employment.

 

In this course, the students will (1) learn the back story of philanthropy and its perspective, (2) put into practice an effective approach to collaborative and inclusive philanthropy, (3) plan strategies for advocacy and influence, (4) master novel financial instruments and (5) navigate the philanthropic ecosystem in and around International Geneva.

3 days of training at the Château de Bossey (VD) to take stock of the recent evolution of philanthropy and its impact on foundations.

In 2025, after 11 editions and more than 275 participants in Romandie, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation continues to organise the Master Class in Philanthropy, in partnership with the Center for Philanthropy Studies Basel (CEPS) and the Centre en philanthropie of the University of Geneva.

Our database, which can be consulted here, is intended to be a living document - courses related to philanthropy will be added as they are created and made available here.
