Three new ITN projects with UNIGE participation have been selected for European funding under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA). ITN (Innovative Training Networks) bring together universities, research centres and companies from different countries worldwide to train a new generation of researchers. All three projects concern the Faculty of Medicine:
* UCOM - Ultrasound Cavitation in Soft Materials, Prof Rares Vincent Salomir, Department of Radiology and Medical Informatics
* OrganoVIR - Organoids for Virus Research: An innovative training-ETN programme, Prof Caroline Tapparel, Department of Microbiology and Molecular Medicine
* INTEGRATA - Integrating chemical and biological approaches to target NAD production and signaling in cancer, Prof Christoph Scheiermann, Department of Pathology and Immunology

Two other MSCA projects with UNIGE participation have been selected for European funding. The RISE scheme promotes international and inter-sector collaboration through research and innovation staff exchanges, and sharing of knowledge and ideas from research to market (and vice-versa). These are the projects:
