26-27 février 2018 - Conférence avec Tomas Brage

Faculty of Sciences, University of Geneva

Tomas Brage will deliver a series of interventions “What does gender have to do with  sciences?” addressed to members of the Sciences Faculty and companies the 26-27th of February 2018.

What does gender have to do with sciences?

Natural sciences and specially Physics are often perceived as an objective science and scientists believe they are surrounded by a “culture without culture”. At the same time, class and board rooms are dominated by men. This is a clear paradox that should awaken the curiosity of anyone. Tomas Brage will combine studies from psychology and anthropology with personal experiences as a professor of physics to explain gender biases and how to deal with them.
