Brigitte Galliot
Brigitte Galliot studied medicine in Paris, worked at Strasbourg University Hospital, then studied Life Sciences and obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology. She moved to Heidelberg and started to study the mechanisms underlying whole-body regeneration. In 1993, she joined the University of Geneva as an independent researcher on a Marie-Heim-Vögtlin fellowship. In 2014 she became the first woman to serve as Vice-dean at the Faculty of Science. In 2018 she was appointed Vice-Rector, in charge of Human Resources and Research.
