Interfaculty Coordination for Academic Advising (CICA)

The Coordination brings together academic advisors from the university's various faculties and centres. Its main aims are to:

• establish consistent and compatible standards, guidelines and practices in the faculties andcentres with regard to the application of federal, cantonal and rectoral directives;
• exchange experiences and promote improvement in student and academic advising;
• draft reports or statements on the implementation of reforms to regulations on studies and their organisation;
• promote the exchange of information with academic advisors from other universities;
•  to act as an easily identifiable contact for the Rectorate and Deans' Offices, thereby facilitating the flow of information between these bodies.

The Coordination appoints 1-2 of its members as an internal chair in charge of convening, structuring and following up meetings. It meets independently (CICA) or with representatives of the Rectorate (CICA-Rectorat), as required.
