06.09.2019 - The RES team at the SCCER-SoE Annual Conference 2019
The RES team has joined the Annual Conference 2019 of the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research - Supply of Electricity (SCCER-SoE) at EPFL. Prof. Trutnevyte presented a part of the group’s work on “Missing Perspectives in Swiss Electricity Supply Models and Scenarios” and the PhD students Léon Hirt, Astu Sam Pratiwi, Jan-Philipp Sasse and George Xexakis presented the following posters respectively:
- The spatial diffusion of solar PV in Switzerland: an interdisciplinary approach
- How will geothermal energy transform the environmental performance of Geneva’s heating and cooling mix from a life-cycle perspective?
- Distributional trade-offs of renewable electricity generation, transmission, and storage in Europe
- Models on the wrong track: Model-based electricity supply scenarios in Switzerland are not aligned with the perspectives of energy experts and the public
The poster of George Xexakis was awarded one of the runner-up prizes for the best poster made by a PhD or scientific assistant at the conference.September 6, 2019
