Moiz Bohra was a post-doctoral researcher in the Renewable Energy Systems group at the University of Geneva in 2021. As part of the Swiss National Science Foundation project "Accuracy", Moiz studied the historical transition of the Swiss energy system using retrospective modeling.
 
Moiz is a chemical engineer by training, and has experience across academia and industry. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University at Qatar and a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University (US). He obtained his PhD from Imperial College London in September 2020, with a thesis on modelling the energy transition and decarbonisation potential of a fossil-fuel dependent economy. He has previously interned at Qatargas, the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and Wood Mackenzie.
