Renewable Energy Systems group, University of Geneva
Verena Heinisch was a postdoctoral researcher at the Renewable Energy Systems group at the University of Geneva and has joined the group in September 2021. As part of SWEET-EDGE project, her research focused on the modeling and evaluation of renewable energy uptake projections in Switzerland.
Verena obtained her PhD from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg in May 2021. Her dissertation focused on the techno-economic modeling of decentralized energy systems on different scales and on the evaluation of system flexibility from sector coupling. Previous publications include the topics of prosumer households, energy communities and synergies between the electricity, district heating and electric transport sectors in city energy systems.
