Séminaires

Le département offre un espace riche et très stimulant pour la présentation et discussion des travaux de recherche dans le domaine de l'histoire économique et sociale, et de l'économie politique.

Depuis sa fondation en 1970, le séminaire avancé de recherche a permis d’inviter à Genève de nombreuses personnalités marquantes de l’histoire économique et social. Conjointement avec le Département d'histoire de l'Université de Genève et le Département d'histoire internationale du Graduate Institute, l'Institut participe à l'organisation du Geneva History Seminar. Le séminaire interne du staff offre la possibilité aux membres du département de présenter leurs travaux en cours (projets de recherche, thèses, etc.) à un premier cercle de chercheurs. Entre 2013 et 2015,  l'Institut a aussi participé à l'organisation du séminaire doctoral romand en Méthodes quantitatives et  histoire.

The Department provides with a rich and very stimulating environment for presenting and discussing current research in economic and social history, as well as in political economy

Since its creation in 1970, the research seminar has been a magnet for many prominent social and economic historians. In joint association with Department of History of the University of Geneva and the Department of International History of the Graduate Institute, the Institute participates in the organization of the Geneva History Seminar. The Staff Workshop offers a forum for ongoing projects, PhD theses, and working papers elaborated by the faculty and research staff of the Institute. Between 2013 and 2015, the Department was also a co-organizer of the Western Switzerland seminar in Quantitative Methods in History.
