I joined the Kaksonen lab in 2021 as a Master student, where I carried out my master thesis on the nucleation of actin filament by a protein called Ldb17, during endocytosis in budding yeast. Using epifluorescence and TIRF microscopy as well as in vitro assays, I studied Ldb17 as a trigger of the actin polymerization at endocytic sites and examined its regulation by proteins containing SH3 domains. I am currently continuing this project as a research assistant in the lab.
