Inorganic and Organometallic Polymers

This summer school brings together chemists of all disciplines who are eager to learn the latest trends in polymer sciences with a special focus on inorganic and organometallic polymers.

The synthesis of macromolecules composed partially or entirely of inorganic elements in the main chain is an area of broad interest. The inorganic polymers show unique properties such as, e.g., electro-activity and thus are potential materials for various applications. However, one of the major challenges remains the development of general synthetic methods for linking inorganic elements into long chains.

The program of the school will therefore focus on the latest advances in the development of new types of macromolecules composed partially or entirely of main group elements. Progress in the field of organometallic polymers and the synthesis of macromolecules containing transition metals within the main chain will also be highlighted.

We are looking forward to an exciting and interdisciplinary week of polymer science with you and our high-profile speakers.
