Institutional Collaboration

The Faculty has signed agreements with the Geneva museums, the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lausanne, and various foreign universities. Some of our research laboratories participate in large-scale national or international projects such as those in conjunction with the European Organization for Astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere (ESO), the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), and NASA. Taking advantage of the presence in Geneva of various international institutions, the Faculty has also established connections with CERN, the WHO and the European Space Agency (ESA).

Partnership with Companies

Because it is important to foster industrial development of the discoveries made in our laboratories, the Faculty of Sciences has established contact with companies in order to encourage “spin-off” and depends, to this end, on the services of UNITEC, the university body responsible for competence and technology transfer. GeneBio, NovImmune and id Quantique are a few of the scientifically-oriented companies which stemmed from the University of Geneva.
