Early-stage startups meet investors

Wednesday, 16th June 2021, 16:00 – 17:30, Online by Zoom

You are wondering what life science startup projects are currently being developed in the University of Geneva (UNIGE) labs but are not yet visible from the outside? You are interested in venture capital funding and/or venture incubation opportunities for startups in the healthcare field? Join us for this online event connecting key players in the local life science startup and innovation scene.

This event is free of charge but registration is mandatory.

What’s cooking at UNIGE? is an online event organized by Unitec, the technology transfer office of the University of Geneva, to provide scientist-entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their early-stage life science startup projects to potential investors and the local venture incubator Fongit. It is also a great opportunity for all UNIGE researchers and students to take stock of the vibrant startup activity going on in the UNIGE labs and, who knows, be inspired to emulate the entrepreneurs’ example and launch their own startup projects.

What’s cooking at UNIGE? is organized in two parts.

For starters, you will learn how three well-known venture capitalist firms invest in early-stage life science startup projects and what support the local venture incubator offers, and you will have the opportunity to ask the speakers your most pressing questions about startup creation.

During the second part, you will discover ten of UNIGE’s early-stage therapeutics startup projects in a five minute-pitch format.
