Consulting for Northpoint (Boston)

NorthPoint is a company which is evaluating new technologies and the possibility to turn them into a market product. They are interested in a compression method for images developed in Russia. They wanted me to understand the mathematics behind it and perform experiments using the new technology to investigate the following possible applications:
  • Compression of x-ray images without loss.

  • X-ray
  • Lossy compression of images and exploration of multi resolution capabilities.
