Sten Ebbesen Archive

Across a career stretching over half a century, Professor Ebbesen has gathered information on hundreds of Latin logical manuscripts (c. 1150 - c. 1400) and has critically edited and studied dozens of Latin commentaries on Aristotle, logical treatises, and collections of sophismata. Yet, this is only the tip of the iceberg: Professor Ebbesen has transcribed – in fact provided all but in name editions – and generously made available to his colleagues and pupils countless materials of the Latin logical tradition. The “Ebbesen Archives” brings together a substantial portion of this unpublished work, making it available to researchers through transcriptions of Latin logical materials and descriptions of manuscripts of logical interest.
