Clémence De Scheemaekere is a PhD student at the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences and the Faculty of psychology and educational sciences, University of Geneva. She holds a M.Sc in Bioengineering, and after she went to study Vervet monkeys as a field assistant at Inkawu Vervet project (IVP) in South Africa. She is currently studying the contextual variability of emotional vocalisations in vervet monkeys, the evolution and learning of babies vocalisation with the support of NCCR Evolving language (Prof. Didier Grandjean) and SNSF (Prof. Thibaud Gruber).
