In 2016, I had the opportunity to join the NEAD as a PhD student. Supervised by Prof. Didier Grandjean and Prof. Thibaud Gruber, I used an evolutionary approach to investigate brain and behavioural mechanisms at play in human and non-human primate species for the perception of affective vocalizations. For that purpose, I conducted several comparative studies on humans that included various techniques such as fNIRS, fMRI or acoustical analyses. Thanks to a Doc.mobility fellowship at the University of Aix-Marseille (France ) supervised by Dr. Adrien Meguerditchian, I also conducted the first fNIRS experiment on baboons.
I successfully defended my PhD thesis in September 2020. Since this date, I am a post-doctoral researcher at the NEAD. I am actually working on the processing of vocal and gestural production in humans and non-human primates using fNIRS and behavioural data.
