Olivier Lartillot is a scientific collaborator at the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences at the University of Geneva, and an Academy of Finland research fellow at the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Music Research. He designs MIRtoolbox, a computational framework for audio and musical feature extraction from audio, and conceives tools for pattern mining and segmentation in music, with applications, among others, to ethnomusicology and music therapy. He collaborates on the articulation between audio and musical descriptors and psychological perception and affective judgments of music. He provides expertise in signal processing and computational musicology, and extends the computational framework for audio and musical feature extraction.
