Wikisite

A wikisite on alternative solidarity practices and structures was set up on the project website, which contains links to particular wiki pages of hubs and sub-hubs of alternative solidarity practices and structures in each of the nine countries studied in the project. In the context of Workpackage 6 – Alternative Forms of Resilience in Times of Crisis, the contents of these hubs/sub-hubs (i.e. organizations and groups) were identified, and their corresponding information was exported. More specifically for each organization or group, LIVEWHAT researchers extracted information about their title, their URL, their description, contact information and more.

The LIVEWHAT wikisite is a landing wiki page which contains links to particular wiki pages (one wiki page per country).

LIVEWHAT (LIVING WITH HARD TIMES) is an FP7 EU Project (initiated on December 2013) that studies policy responses and citizens’ resilience in times of crisis. The project brings together universities and an international advisory board of leading scientists from nine European countries. One of the actions in the project, which is related to Work Package 6, includes the identification of a wide range of networks ,organizations and groups engaged in alternative forms of resilience, as seen in recent solidarity and other social innovation practices across the nine countries which are involved in the project. This organizations include (but are not limited to) barter networks, food banks, time banks, alternative coins, free medical services, soup kitchens, and more.

In the context of Workpackage 6 – Alternative Forms of Resilience, the contents of these hubs/sub-hubs (i.e. organizations and groups) have been identified, and their corresponding information has been exported. More specifically for each organization or group, we have extracted information about their title, their URL, their description, contact information and more. A document describing the above process and the results can be found at the Output section (see Analysis-of-Web-Accessible-Networks-Organizations-and-Groups.pdf).

The main purpose of this wiki is to act as a central point where information about all the hubs/sub-hubs that has been identified can be found. The information has been categorized with respect to their country. The following list leads to the hubs/sub-hubs of each country:
