The BioMed X Innovation Center in Heidelberg, Germany is pleased to announce a call for application in the field of Intestinal Epithelial Barrier in Autoimmune Diseases. The main objective of the new group will be to develop novel therapeutic concepts for SLE and other autoimmune diseases by investigating the epithelial barrier and the gut microbiome. The sponsor of this project is Merck.

The Center for Adipocyte Signaling – ADIPOSIGN at the Functional Genomics & Metabolism Research Unit, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark, invites applications from outstanding candidates who are interested in joining our team as PhD student or Postdoc. Grants & mentoring opportunities for young female researchers :

  1. Mentoring: “Mentorat Relève”

This mentoring progamme organized by the UNIGE Equality Office aims to support female researchers who would like to pursue an academic career, and need advice and support to move ahead. During 12 months, 10 selected female researchers will receive an individual support from a UNIGE Professor, and will also take part in 4 collective sessions.

  1. Grant: “Subside tremplin”

This financial support allows young female researchers to release time in order to strengthen their scientific profile, write articles, complete or publish their thesis work or make an academic stay abroad. The grant funds the salary of a replacing person.

  1. Grants: PRIMA

This grant is aimed at female researchers at postdoc level. PRIMA grants cover the grantee's salary and project costs (max. CHF 150,000 per year), which allow, amongst others, to engage a team, benefit from an academic stay at another institution, as well as from a mentoring network.Maximum duration: 5 years.
