Marion Panizzon

Marion Panizzon is Senior Researcher at the Institute of Public Law of the University of Bern where she leads the four-year research project on multi-layered migration governance of the National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) ‘On the Move—The Migration-Mobility Nexus’. From 2007-2014, Marion was lecturer and senior fellow at the World Trade Institute, Bern and at Trade Policy Center in Africa (TRAPCA), Arusha Tanzania. In 2010, Marion was elected officer of the International Economic Law Interest Group of the European Society of International Law (ESIL).

She has been a researcher in the WTO law group of Professor John H Jackson of Georgetown University Law Center 2001-2002 and at COMPAS Oxford University in 2009. Marion’s work has been published in the American Journal of International Law, the European Journal of International Law, the Journal of Migration and Refugee Issues, the Journal of World Trade. Her most recent books are Multilayered Migration Governance, Routledge 2011 (co-edited with Sandra Lavenex and Rahel Kunz) and the Palgrave Handbook of International Labor Migration (with Elisa Fornalé) Palgrave 2015.
