Anja Klug

A lawyer by training, Ms. Klug joined UNHCR in 1995. She has worked for the organisations in different functions in Bonn, Berlin, Bruxelles and Geneva. Her assignments also include a secondment with the Global Forum for Migration and Development where she was responsible for a project on labour migration for refugees. Ms. Klug currently heads UNHCR’s Office for Switzerland and Liechtenstein in Geneva. Her areas of particular expertise include the different policy and legal questions relating to the interface between refugee protection and international migration. Ms. Klug is married and has three children.
