Jeannette Money

Jeannette Money is a member of the faculty of the Political Science Department at the University of California, Davis. Her research agenda focuses on the intersection of international migration and political institutions. Her book, Fences and Neighbors, examines the political consequences of the geographic concentration of immigrants on the demand for immigration control.

A second, edited volume explores the potential for international cooperation on immigration in regional economic organizations. Her current work is oriented toward migrant rights, including the prospects for gaining citizenship in countries of refuge. A forthcoming volume collects nationality legislation from around the world. She has published numerous articles and contributed to edited collections on various dimensions of international migration, including anti-immigrant movements, the origins of and change in nationality legislation, and the prospects for international cooperation on migration."

Books include Fences and Neighbors (Cornell University Press 1999), Migration, Nation States and International Cooperation ( with Randall Hansen and Jobst Koehler, Routledge 2011), and Compendium on Nationality Legislation (with Shaina Western and Edith Yuh, International Office for Migration, forthcoming (2016)).
