Nicoletta Giordano

Nicoletta Giordano is the Head of the International Partnerships Division within the International Cooperation and Partnerships Department at IOM Headquarters in Geneva.  Ms Giordano worked in Bangladesh with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, and then with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Jerusalem and the West Bank.  She spent seven years in the Middle East, more recently in Yemen as IOM Chief of Mission.  Previously she has been IOM Chief of Mission in Albania; from 1997 to 2007 she served as the head of Return in the Migration Management Department at IOM Headquarters in Geneva. From 1994 to 1997 she served at the IOM Missions in Kenya, Uganda, and Senegal.
