Trainees and research work
We are offering Research Internships and Master Thesis projects to motivated students in our lab.
You will have the opportunity to get to know research and possibly conduct your own experiment within the lab’s ongoing projects. We study how emotion, stress and their regulation affect memories in children, adults and older adults using a combination of behavioral experiments, psychophysiology, pharmacology, virtual reality and neuro-imaging.
Potential research topics include but are not limited to the following:
- What happens when you cannot remember anything at an exam? How does stress affect memory retrieval and what can we do about this?
- How do we build memories for an emotional event?
- Can we change an emotional memory? A traumatic memory? How?
