Crans-Montana Tragedy – Solidarity

In the face of the tragedy that occurred on 1 January 2026 in Crans-Montana, we wish to express our solidarity and our deepest thoughts to the victims, their loved ones, and all those affected by this event, which has left us all speechless. This tragedy plunges the country into mourning and deep emotion.

In these difficult times, the University wishes to reaffirm that it stands alongside all members of its community. Those who feel the need can now access psychological consultations at UNIGE.

Everyone will be able to observe a minute of silence, including during an examination, on Friday 9 January at 2:00 p.m., declared a national day of mourning by the Federal Council.

Our thoughts are with all those affected by this event.
