Arrival by plane: Lugano (LUG)

Lugano airport (IATA-Code: LUG) is an international Airport in Ticino, Switzerland and is mainly reached by SWISS (https://www.swiss.com/) airlines from Zurich (ZRH) and by Adria Airways Switzerland (https://www.adriaairways.ch/) from Geneva (GVA).

There is the possibility to book a ticket to the end destination Lugano (LUG) over the SWISS hub in Zurich (ZRH). For the connection from your place of origin to Lugano via Zurich on May 20, 2018, one of the two SWISS flights ZRH-LUG is recommended: LX 2902 (09:20 a.m.–10:00 a.m.) or LX 2906 (12:25 p.m.–01:10 p.m.). The return journey on May 23, 2018 can be easily combined with the flight LUG-ZRH LX 2913 (07:00 p.m.–07:45 p.m.).

After arriving at Lugano Airport, you can either take the shuttle bus or the train.

The shuttle bus (http://www.shuttle-bus.com/), whose timetable is aligned with flight times, leaves from the airport and arrives at the SBB/FFS Lugano railway station in 20 minutes.

The FLP (http://flpsa.ch/) Agno railway station is a ten-minute walk from the terminal. From there you can take train line S 60, which leaves every 15 to 30 minutes, to the Lugano FLP (http://flpsa.ch/) railway station. Follow the signs to “Stazione FFS” in order to get to the SBB/FFS Lugano railway station,which is on the opposite side.

As soon as you arrive at the SBB/FFS railway station in Lugano, you can take the connection to Giubiasco. There is a connection every 15 to 30 minutes. There you have to change to the train line S 20 and ride it until the last station, Locarno.

It is possible to buy a ticket for the end station Locarno at Agno train station.

It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to travel from Agno to Locarno.

On the day of arrival, May 20, 2018, there will be a free shuttle bus from the Locarno train station to the Hotel Complex and Conference Center Monte Verità at 01:40 p.m., 02:20 p.m., 03:00 p.m., 03:40 p.m., 04:20 p.m. and 05:00 p.m. (max. 11 persons per trip). The meeting point for the shuttle is on the right side of the train platform in Locarno (see image below).

On the day of departure, May 23, 2018, at 02:00 p.m., 02:40 p.m., 03:20 p.m. and 04:00 p.m. participants will be able to take the shuttle bus to Locarno free of charge.
