Arrival by plane: Milan Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY)

The Milan Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (IATA-Code: BGY) is one of the three airports in the Northern Italian metropolis of Milan. It is used mostly by low-cost airlines and can be reached by many cities in Europe.

After arriving at the Milan Bergamo Orio al Serio airport, you have to take the shuttle bus (e.g. http://www.orioshuttle.com/ or http://www.terravision.eu/airport_transfer/bus-bergamo-airport-milan/) to Milan central station (Milano Centrale). Busses leave a regular intervals. The ride takes about one hour.

You can reach Locarno from Milan Centrale by train. The quickest connection (ca. 2 hours 15 minutes) leaves every two hours. Depending on the connection you have to change either in Bellinzona or in Giubiasco.

Traveling time from Mailand-Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport to Locarno takes at least 3 hours 20 minutes.

On the day of arrival, May 20, 2018, there will be a free shuttle bus from the Locarno train station to the Hotel Complex and Conference Center Monte Verità at 01:40 p.m., 02:20 p.m., 03:00 p.m., 03:40 p.m., 04:20 p.m. and 05:00 p.m. (max. 11 persons per trip). The meeting point for the shuttle is on the right side of the train platform in Locarno (see image below).

On the day of departure, May 23, 2018, at 02:00 p.m., 02:40 p.m., 03:20 p.m. and 04:00 p.m. participants will be able to take the shuttle bus to Locarno free of charge.
