Objectives:

• Distinguishing between data and metadata
• Understanding the importance of accurately describing research objects
• Finding the appropriate metadata schemas

Description: Since the emergence of Web 2.0, what used to be the work of specialists has become the task of any information producer, namely producing valuable descriptive metadata that will enable the search, discovery and reuse of resources generated in the course of research.

Audience: Researchers, Academic teachers, PhD students, Post-doc researchers, UNIGE collaborators.
