Omeka S

Omeka S

Omeka S is an open-source web publishing platform designed for creating and showcasing digital collections, exhibits, and archives, particularly in cultural heritage, academic, and library settings.

Built as a next-generation version of the original Omeka, Omeka S emphasizes modularity and interoperability, allowing users to manage and publish diverse digital assets using standardized metadata schemas. It supports linked open data principles, enabling connections between resources and external vocabularies, and offers robust APIs for integration with other systems.

Omeka S is widely used by institutions seeking to create accessible, interactive, and sustainable digital repositories and exhibits.

The Faculty of Humanities runs a shared Omeka S instance for humanities research projects and teaching.
