Florian Giraud joined the Energy Efficiency Group at the Institute for Environmental Sciences, University of Geneva, as a research assistant in September 2025. His research focuses on District Heating Networks modeling and the integration of Thermal Energy Storage.
He obtained his Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Energy in September 2025. His thesis presented a comparative analysis of several energy modeling tools and their applicability at the district scale, illustrated through case studies in Geneva and St. Gallen. Previously, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics, both at the University of Geneva.
