Sustainable Finance Faces the Challenge of Fatigue - new research by Philipp Krueger featured in Le Temps
A new study by GFRI’s Professor Philipp Krueger, SFI Senior Chair, and his co-author Dr. Cyril Pasche, SFI Senior Director, was featured in Le Temps (in French).
In the public discussion note "What Drives Sustainable Finance Fatigue?", Krueger and Pasche explore the growing disillusionment with ESG investing and sustainable finance.
They trace the slowdown to a mix of factors, including declining ESG fund performance, rising political resistance—particularly in the U.S.—regulatory overload, and mounting concerns over greenwashing and limited real-world impact.
The SFI public discussion note is available here.
