The Giga Research Lab at the GSEM, in partnership with Giga (a joint UNICEF-ITU initiative) is pleased to invite you to the first edition of the Digital Career Insights at the Giga Connectivity Center located at the Campus Biotech.
This new series is designed to help students explore real career paths in the connectivity and digital inclusion space. Each session creates space for open and honest conversations about work, purpose, and professional growth – with guest speakers who are actively shaping the future of technology and inclusion.
Guest speaker:
- Reneilwe Obuseng, Business Development Manager - Connectivity Credits at Giga (UNICEF)
With over 15 years in technology and connectivity, Reneilwe Obuseng has built a strong track record in securing strategic partnerships and leading growth initiatives. She combines market insight, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to turn opportunities into measurable impact.
With introductions from Marija Novkovic, Programme Manager at Giga (UNICEF)
Marija will open the session with an introduction to Giga and its mission to support governments to connect every school to the internet. Reneilwe will then share her professional journey in digital innovation and global connectivity, including key decisions, unexpected challenges, and the lessons learned along the way.
What to expect:
- A 20–30 minute talk on real career experiences, lessons learned, and skills that matter
- An interactive Q&A: any questions are welcome
- Networking over drinks and snacks with the speaker and students from different universities in and around Geneva
Who is this for?
Students in their final Bachelor year or in a Master’s program, who are curious about careers in digital transformation, innovation, and people-focused technology.
