Relative age: Does birth month influence life outcomes?
According to various studies, there is a correlation, especially in sport, between relative age and life achievements. The relationship between birth month and success in sports is known as the “Relative Age Effect”. This phenomenon refers to an unbalanced distribution of birth dates among young athletes selected by club teams, with more of them born in the first half of the year, than those born in the second half of the year. GSEM Professor Michele Pellizzari analyzes this phenomenon.
