The U.S. Is Eyeing a Minerals Deal With Congo. Included: Child Miners. 

Dorothée Baumann-Pauly, GSEM Professor and Director of the Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights cautions that investments in Congo’s mining sector could promote child labor and unregulated artisanal mining, jeopardizing worker safety and increasing local conflicts.
