This international workshop on "International Trade and Multilateralism" aims to increase our understanding of the issues discussed during the last Ministerial Conference by bringing together established and newer international trade economists, academic researchers as well as practitioners from various International Organizations. This event will provide valuable interactions between academia and policy makers, which will help guide research projects of senior, more importantly junior researchers.

Design

•Leading world experts in the field of international trade

•Participants will come from a variety of institutions (Universities, International Organizations, Think tanks). The difference in backgrounds of the participants is sure to stimulate new ideas.

•Participation of researchers at the beginning of their careers (PhD students, Post Docs, assistant professors) is particularly sought. A special session dedicated to PhD-student presentations will be organized.

•In order to build in the interaction between academia and practitioners, a special session will be organized.

•The workshop program will also allow time for discussion and collaboration.
